Economics Masters Challenge is organised entirely by high school students: three founders and the organising team that runs each edition with them.

I'm a high school student with a slightly unhealthy interest in economics. I love understanding how markets, businesses, and people work, and I'm always looking for ways to take that passion further. Luckily, I found two people who felt the same way. Together, we created the Economics Masters Challenge to bring students like us together, turn our passion into competition, and have a lot of fun along the way.

My interest in economics comes from wanting to understand the reasoning behind the decisions we see every day-for example from how businesses make strategic decisions to how economies respond to shifting conditions. As a student, I wanted a space where economics could be explored beyond the classroom and where students could put their knowledge and ideas to the test. That ambition led me, together with Max and Laura, to create the Economics Masters Challenge: a competition built around curiosity, critical thinking, and a shared interest in economics.

I’m Laura Lávičková, a high school student interested in economics.
I wanted a way to explore economics outside the classroom and meet other students who were just as curious about it, which is what led me to help create the Economics Masters Challenge. For me, it’s a chance to make economics a little more competitive, social, and fun.
